St. Augustine Metropolitan Cathedral, Cagayan de Oro City

 

 

 

The Saint Augustine Cathedral was worked in 1624 by Fray Agustin San Pedro who was called El Padre Capitan by the occupants here. In 1778, both the congregation and religious circle were burned to the ground. From its vestiges, Fray Pedro de Santa Barbara, together with liberal Cagayanons, manufactured the new church which was initiated in 1780. In any case, it too did not keep going long as it was gutted in 1831 and by World War II. However, they were all modified by Fray San Pedro OAR, Fray Pedro de Sta. Loving trees ? Experience Mangrove Trees in Laguindingan

MANGROVE TREES ADVENTURE ON BRGY. TUBAJON LAGUINDINGAN, MISAMIS OR

We sometimes join activities like planting trees to preserve and maintain the beauty of nature, and one of these was planting mangrove trees. In Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental, there was this place that they use to call it as BOARDWALK where there are islets of mangrove trees.

A beautiful trees, A clean environment, A fresh water, and a white sand. these are the things that you may enjoy here on TUBAJON AQUA MARINE PARK. it's about a 30 minutes away from Poblacion, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental. and 1hour away from the City of Golden Friendship which is the Cagayan de oro.

this place was THE PERFECT PLACE to hangout with friends or even with your family, this may be far away from the place which it was actually located but I tell you, its gonna be worth it.

they have different types of cottages here and each cottages has its own stairs to go into the water. You may be feel relaxed once you get here. The wind coming from the sea and a cold water under mangrove trees was a perfect combination to relax with. the picture may look green but if you will see it in person, the sand were white. (not that white than you see in Camiguin but its good enough to swim).  these are the prices of cottages available there (P500,P400,P300)

their cottages are clean so you don't have to worry about you things. it is made of bamboo trees so its nature loving cottage (hehe)

 they also have an entrance fee for only P25 / person

So if you want to relax and experience to swim surrounded by mangrove trees then this place is the perfect place for you.

how to get there ?

Commute:

from Limketkai Center 

you will ride a B3 liner jeepney it cost only 14 pesos.

stop at the bus terminal in BULUA.

find an ILIGAN LINER JEEPNEY. and stop at the POBLACION LAGUINDINGAN. if you are not sure about the place, you may ask the jeepney driver. it cost only P25 pesos

from POBLACION LAGUINDINGAN find a RELA, preferably the new RELA that they call it BAJAJ, or DULOG or TRICAB. and ask the driver to take you to boardwalk  brgy. tubajon.

it only cost P30.    

one way : 14 + 25 + 30 + 25 = 94

back and fort : 138

Khalee's Restaurant and Cafe is one of the popular Filipino Restaurant located in Gaabucayan Street, AGORA, Claveria terminal, Cagayan de Oro listed under Restaurant in Cagayan de Oro.

Khalee's Restaurant and Cafe is a very nice place where you can locate here in Lapasan Agora, and it is very clean restaurant and very affordable and you won't expect that the prices of their food are very affordable yet very delicious. The restaurant has two choices they will let you choose what do you want one is the Eat all you can and the second is they have different foods with a dessert and you are the one what food do you want to choose.

 And as what I have observe the best  seller there is the Eat all you can because you are the one who will estimate the food you want. we never regret that we choose to visit and eat there in Khalee's restaurant not because it is located in lapasan but because the food are good and the  Staffs are very accommodating.

LUMPIA SHANGHAI

is a spring-rolled of Chinese origin commonly found ^INDONESIA and the It is a savory snack made of thin crepe pastry skin called "lumpia wrapper" enveloping a mixture of savory fillings, consists of chopped vegetables (carrots, cabbages, green beans, bamboo shoots and leeks) or sometimes also minced meat (chicken, shrimp, pork or beef).^[3] It is often served as an appetizer or snack, and might be served deep fried or fresh (unfried). Lumpia is quite similar to fresh popiah or fried spring rolls popular in Southeast Asia.

CHOP SUEY is a dish in American Chinese cuisine and other forms of overseas Chinese cuisine, consisting of meat (often chicken, fish, beef, shrimp, or pork) and eggs, cooked quickly with vegetables such as bean sprouts, cabbage, and celery and bound in a starch-thickened sauce. It is typically served with rice but can become the Chinese-American form of chow mein with the addition of stir-fried noodles. 

FRIED PRAWN SHRIMPS is a deep fried dish popular in Japan as well as Japanese restaurants worldwide. It is a speciality of the city of Nagoya. A popular ingredient of Japanese bento, Fried Prawn Bentō is a common menu item at bentō shops.

FRIED CRABS WITH ONIONS.this is my favorite food lets eat seafoods. they are also inspired on the seafood dishes which amazes all the costumer. a great and unlimited seafoods nearby the city and it feels like you have it all. come and visit the place of agora. this restaurant is really recommendable for all. originally it came from the country of Malaysia the heart of Asia. they discovered that this dish was delicious and good. but be careful on eating this. you might have an allergy that causes your rashes.. 

WHAT YOU GOTTA DO WITH THE DESSERTS ?

Khalee's Restaurant Eat All You Can for only 99 pesos. unlimited food and rice, but please take note that their Eat All You Can menu varies everyday. they have 2 option. option a is a eat all you can. like unlimited food and rice while the option B Eat What You Want, means that one time serving only you get to choose 2 main dishes for example: garlic shrimp and squid plus your choice of veggie or pancit and I cup of rice. but sad to say soft drinks is not free, but its worth it.

Usually, "eat all you can" for 99 pesos tastes mediocre and below average. but this one is JUST ENOUGH to exceed the expectation, might not be the best tasting but good food.

After looking a lot about this place, I finally got a chance to visit. well, I found the restaurant over-hyped. We order of course Chopsuy, Guso, Lauya, Fish fillet, which was oh so tasty! Also tried Pancit, beef steak, so perfect blend of spices and yummy delicious. All in all, I love it so much!

Well, as we observed the places the ambiance is vintage , nice,neat and clean and gives you a feel of history. The bottom line is, this restaurant is no doubt good but at the same time is overpriced and over-hyped. Nevertheless, you must visit this restaurant at least once to experience that vintage food, ambiance and service.

This place is best to recommend for meeting and seminar and if you asks if its affordable, yes its ver affordable

Explore Balingasag ! 

Balingasag was known as the second class Municipality of Misamis Oriental. They have a beautiful structural buildings and a scenic view of the beach. They also have several activities conducted during weekends. Come and Join us as we experience the Municipality of Balingasag with my Classmate. 

From the City of Cagayan De Oro we went first to SaveMore Agora to buy some snacks before going to Agora Bus Terminal. we did ride any bus that could pass by to Balingasag and It is a 52kilometers away from the city of Cagayan De Oro or approximately a 1 hour and 30minutes ride depends on its traffic conditions.

The St. Rita's Parish of Balingasag

It is located at Barangay 3 of balingasag. It was built on the year of 1893 and was constructed by Sr.Nikomedez Gonzales. Its door has a rounded arc system and its columns are indooric style. Its walls are made of bricks and a combination of its color and it was such a beautiful church that we could see in Balingasag

how does it feel being here ?
well, for me it was like you will feel the presence of Christ. it feels like you are present in their year. the Ancient vibe will make your self say that you are in a safe place.

the ambiance of the place plus a combination of the bricks and the color plus the window style and a grand entrance its like just WOW




LETS GO TO THE SUNSET CAPITAL OF MISAMIS ORIENTAL
Balingasag was also considered the Sunset Capital of Misamis Oriental due to its panoramic and perfect view sunset when the sun is setting up to dark. I say this place is the perfect place to see the beautiful sunset. but depends also upon the weather. being with someone you love is additional factor for fulfilling the romantic feeling during sunset .

What we did is we will going to capture Luningning and her Boyfriend during sunset and we are going to ask on how does it feel being with the actual place together with her Boyfriend. we take a picture both back and front to see the ambiance of the Sunset that filters their beauty and romantic feeling.

EXPERIENCE MAPAWA ADVENTURE PARK

 the Mapawa Adventure Park is a 2490 hectares land owned by Bong Pelaez. this park was preserved by its beauty. surrounded by forests. we came here just to experience its trekking adventure as well as their parks. this picture is a big old tree. it reminds me on how beautiful nature was and it is need to preserved.







 This is a vast property abundant with magnificent waterfalls , imposing views, and exciting activities nestled in the forest park in Cugman. It offers a relaxing environment for those seeking peace and solitude as well as a site for fun and adventure for kids at heart of all ages. Rappel from a 65 foot waterfall. Take a leisurely ride on horseback while exploring the 2,500-hectares property. Dip in its spring-fed swimming pools or take the gripping zip lines. The park also caters to group events and conducts Eco-lectures and team-building activities for companies, corporations and groups.

 30 minutes away from the city proper still within Cagayan De Oro City. One of the owners, Ernie Pelaez, boasts about the exquisite flora here, especially their trees which are centuries old.

To get here, you can rent a van and tell the driver to proceed to Mapawa Nature Park in Barangay Cugman if you’re already in Cagayan De Oro City. It’s best to call days ahead so the facilitators can prepare and inform you if the place is okay for canyoneering, if the weather is good or if it’s already fully booked.
